I believe Maurice Sendak's book "Where the Wild Things Are" is about anger and powerlessness and how children can use their imaginations to cope with these things.
On the trailer for the upcoming movie, directed by the master Spike Jonze, there are some amazing phrases, like:
Inside all of us is HOPE, inside all of us is FEAR, inside all of us is ADVENTURE, inside all of us is A WILD THING.
That is just awesome, that is what is not only inside children, but inside all of us as humans.
I will take my kids to see this, definitely, so they can cope with what they're going through right now.
What parent doesn't want their children to deal with anger and powerlessness?
The world we live in today is all about anger and powerlessness...so thanks Mr. Sendak and Mr. Jonze.
